Attended the WellChild Awards ... with Harry! I have attended before as I have supported the charity for a number of years and I have seen Harry at a couple of different events. It is something that we found amusing when we first met at HfH - the fact that there have been several opportunities over the years where we have been in close proximity and could have met before!
Even though we were both legitimately at the Awards we chose to arrive and leave separately so that we were not pictured together! Inside the Awards we chatted as Patron and Volunteer and hopefully we gave nothing away!

We had a special prayer at our Church today for the three young men who tragically lost their lives last week. After the service I headed into Birmingham for the Peace Rally/Memorial. It was a very emotional and inspiring afternoon - there was a massive turn out. Harry had wanted to attend with me but was worried that he would be noticed.

Woke up with a sore back today - it is not such a good idea to sleep on the sofa with another person! Even if the other person looks incredibly gorgeous first thing in the morning. I woke up at 6:00am and headed out for my morning run. Harry woke up when I got back and commented on how I looked in my running gear! I left him smiling to himself as I ran upstairs for a shower and to get dressed. When I came downstairs Harry had tidied up the living room and made us both a drink. We talked about how much we had enjoyed the night before and then Harry asked me if I would like to meet his family! Oh my goodness! Of course I said yes, but I am extremely scared now. Before he left gave me a kiss on the cheek.

First actual date with Harry! Took him to my favourite bar in Birmingham. It is quite dark and moody and there are lots of private booths. The decor is gothic and would fit quite well in a 90's vampire show. The food is delicious and the cocktails are amazing! At the end of the night Harry came back to my house for a coffee and we sat and watched my Big Bang Theory box set. We both fell asleep on the sofa.

Day 2 of Riot Clean Up! After a heart to heart with Harry in the early hours of this morning - where we have come to the conclusion that we both really like each other and we have agreed to go on an actual date! - I set off for my second day of cleaning up Birmingham. There was significantly more to do today, but there were also more people out to help.

I was woken up by a loud banging on my door at 3 this morning. After opening the door I was suddenly thrown back by the body weight of Harry as he hugged me tightly. He started rambling about how worried he was - he had been hearing news that there were riots in Birmingham and that trouble was spilling out into surrounding areas and he had tried to ring me but couldn't get though so he drove all the way here to make sure I was okay. After taking a breath and realising that I was in one piece he finally loosened his grip on me. I shut the door behind him and led him into the living room, where I had been watching the news since I had got home and where I had fallen asleep on the sofa. I made us a drink and once Harry had calmed down we sat and talked about the trouble up and down the country.

Had a surprise visitor at the Christening today! Harry showed up out of nowhere. I was in the middle of making my Godmother vows for my friend's little girl when he quietly snuck into the back of the church. Thankfully no-one noticed who the late-comer was and once the service was over they were all too busy cooing over the little star of the day and how good she was. Harry was impressed with the little booties that I made for Holly and I was impressed that he had bought a gift for her - an adorable bangle.

This is the second weekend that he has high-tailed it up the motorway after an event to see me!

Tonight was the big party for my sister. She wanted a pink theme - my mum and I had so much fun decorating the venue with everything pink and sparkly. My favourite part of the night was when we went all 'American Sweet 16' and revealed her big present - a car! Now, this was no BMW or Jeep, it was a second-hand, little run-around. It was my first car that my grandad and I fixed up 10 years ago - but it still worked and was more than adequate for my sister to learn to drive in it - just like I had done.
When Harry rang me later that night he seemed disappointed that he had missed the party but extremely impressed with the fact my sister had got a car and even more so that I knew my way around an engine! We talked for a really long time... all the way through from me getting out of the taxi, struggling with my key in the door, geeting changed (with him on speaker phone) and then getting into bed. We talked a lot about weddings and what our thoughts were on marriage and the future. I don't remember falling asleep!

After a long day at work and then dinner at my parents, it's nice to get back to my little house, put my slippers on and have a nice glass of wine. I was immersed in a book (and maybe another glass of wine!) when Harry rang. He was at his cousin's pre-wedding party and sounded very merry. We spent nearly an hour talking - I kept telling him that he should be socialising but he said that he would rather talk to me. I said that was very sweet but he was at a party and should be enjoying himself - he said he was, talking to me! After another half an hour I heard some laughing and teasing noises in the background and then Harry telling someone to go away. He said some relatives were annoying him and that he would have to go, but he would talk to me soon.
